it has arrived

it finally started to rain! i am very happy. not only did i go drive around in it, but i sat out on the porch for about 45 minutes. i love the rain!!!

holidays

heres a list of what i did today and CHRISTmas-eve.
yesterday:
picked up my grandma at about 4.
went to CHRISTmas-eve service
came home and ate a true turkey dinner
then we played some musiec: ben played guitar, mary harmonica, nathan mandolin, heather banjo, and i played the piano. it was fun.
then my dad took my grandma home, and we sat around talking. when he got home, we decided to open 1 present each.
today:
my grandma came over at about 8.
we drank coffee for about 45 minutes.
then we all went into the living room, with a fire in the fireplace, and passed out the gifts one by one. i got pirates 2 and 3- which i really wanted.
then we played with our presents or did whatever until 2.
at 2, my family came over and we ate korean ribs and sushi. interesting i knkow, but it is everyone's favorite. they stayed until about 5:30-6 ish. then i got out a super hard puzzle- no picture, just gray pieces. only 48 right solutions and over 250,000 wrong ones. then ben came in and together, we spent probably 2 hours working on it. we finally did it though!!!! i was very happy. i took a picture.
now i am watching pirates 2!

almost there! only a day and a half more of school before CHRISTmas break. it doesnt seem like it can be less than a week away. getting off school three days before CHRISTmas doesn't give me much time to get in the holiday spirit. oh well, i'll do my best :D
im almost done with my chair in woodshop. hopefully i can bring it home on friday. i've totally loved the weather latley. it rained all day yesterday. i sat outside last night (on my porch) and just watched it. it was awesome. it also rained this morning, so it was more awesome weather! it is supposed to rain tom. too, but im not sure it will. ill be praying though!

just an update...

nothing much has been going on.
im very excited for the weekend, i really want some time off! hopefully i wont have too much homework. i already know im going to have at least two tests, so ill be studying. oh well, it doesnt really matter.
saturday, im not going to do much. maybe going to the mall with a friend for lunch. i hope?
sunday is nothing different. i dont have to bbsit, which is exciting. hopefully this weekend i can do alot of CHRISTmas shopping!
monday john comes home! exciting
one more week of school, and the nwe get two off! yay! so excited.

this weekend has been pretty amazing so far. but first, friday morning. i pulled into the parking spot, and lookeed at the car next to me. on the hood, was a dead pigeon! so random. so friday after school, i stop in the parking lot to talk to bethany and laney. later that night, bethany and i went to see enchanted, which was pretty cute, except for when the cockroaches were cleaning. i went to bed at 10:#0 and woke up at 9:30(i was pretty exhausted). i woke up and read until 10:30, then started my homework. later, my mom and i went to get a CHRISTmas tree. we got a gorgeous one! then i went to a church CHRISTmas program, which was ok. then when we got home, jim and i were playing with dart guns, but we made too much noise, so we were kicked outside. so we were running around for an hour, in the dark, shooting eachother from behind trees and cars, and stuff. it was awesome.

so it is now december, and i can start getting into the CHRISTmas spirit. we put up lights today, and exchanged the fall decor for the winter! next weekend we get to put up our tree too. im excited, i didnt get to look for a tree last year. unfortunately, my mom wants to get a small one this year, kind of a bummer. we are going to put it in our family room, so we need one small enough to put on a table where the dog wont bother it. oh well, as long as it smells good- that is the important part!

WEIRD!!!

so i was checking all the blogs to see if there were any updates, and i checked the fieldhouse blog. they went to silent valley last weekend! the weekend WE were going to go up! (jim got sick though, so we didnt) i didnt know anyone else in the world knew about silent valley! we used to go up every year for my birthday, along with my grandparents, ad celebrate. alot of my childhood memories come from that place. i can remember going up for like 2 weeks one summer and getting stung by bees about 5-7 times! that includes sitting on one by the side of the family center pool, as well as trying to run away from one that was floating in the kiddie pool, but it got carried along in "my" current and stung me anyway :C
i remember going up with jane shibley and our two families would have huge picnics in the field in f section. anyway, i know you guys are probably lost (except MAYBE Beth, bc i took her up a couple summers ago) and ill end. i just thought it was cool that the fieldhouses go there too, and that we almost saw them up there!

wow, ive been changing my background alot lately. i wanted something semi-christmasy though, and this was the best i could do.

back to school

so today was pretty fun!
it was great to be driving again,
yearbook was fun- no one worked too hard. i tried to write copy about volleyball, but since i know nothing about it, rachel helped alot
woodshop was ok, joseph and i only have to put puddy in the nail holes and then stain them, and we'll have 2 new chairs
math was fun, because i understood it, and was talking with rachel most of the time
chemistry was ok. i get it and we worked on a worksheet- wich is way better than taking notes
pe was cool, we got to go bowling. which i suck at. i got 71, but that is what i started at last year (which was also the last time i bowled) and i ended up in the 100s. so hopefully ill improve this year, too
history was borring, but not bad. we watched a movie. gangs of new york. i cant understand 1/2 of what the main character is saying. oh, it was funny. mr bras started singing in the middle of the movie
english was great. i got my research paper back, and did really well. it didnt change my grade though. bummer.
again, the drive home was fun.
and now, im watching 24 until 4:30 when i have to start homework :C
