woohoo!

so today was pretty fun- except for the part where i failed my drivers test- but other than that, it was cool :D. we went to the food bank today, and packed 1500 boxes in 2 hours! that was so awesome, i never thought we could have done that many. i can tell you, though, my hands were sore after gripping 1500 42(or is it 6) oz cans of grape juice!
so after that i go to the dmv to take my test. its 3:45, and they tell me "sorry, youre missing the proof that you passed behind the wheel" i had everything i needed for my permit test, as well as registration and insurance. so i was SO disappointed, i was driving home, and i was crying my eyes out- probably shouldnt have been driving! so we go inside, and my mom gets the paper, and yells "get back in the car!!!! i found it" so i let her drive- i didnt want to be speeding back to the dmv. we left our house at like 3:55, and got to the dmv at 4:03. we get to the window, and they said "we dont have you booked" ummm... we were here 18 minutes ago? so they finally find me. in the last 20 minutes, ive gone from being so mad and disappointed, to being happy, and very nervous. well basically, i do everything right, until we get back to the dmv! i hit the curb turning into the parking lot!!!!!!! argh, if it hadnt been for the last 30 seconds, i would have passed. but after the whole emotional ride with not having my paper, i wasnt as disappointed as i might have been. i guess i kind of expected it. so i guess ill make another appointment

no luck, but thats ok!

this is going to be a great upcomming week!

so im totally excited for this week!
im totally loving yearbook so far, and im ready to start working on my page again.
friday we get to go to the food packaging plant and pack boxes
this weekend, my cousins are coming back from Tennessee, whom i havent seen in probably 3 years.
monady we have off!!!

i dont know how the homework load is going to be, but i shouldnt have a test in math, or chemistry. english we have a test on huck finn, which should be easy, and i love woodshop and yearbook! im hopping that i understand this next section in math...

so i just finished my 40 hours of practice driving! whoohoo!
that is pretty much all i did today, except homework, and read. yesterday i was at the harvest festival, which was super fun this year, bc i got to work in the yearbook booth. face painting! oh yeah! i loved it. i could do an awesome rocket ship, but i could hardly do a heart w/out smearing it- oh well :D
i was all set on going to the football game afterward, but it was freezing, and i was exhausted, and my throat was way too sore for it! so i went home, and crawled into bed at 10! it felt amazing.

by the way, does anyone know how long sore throats are supposed to last?

coolness

something kind of cool happened today!
we had harvest festival today, so we werent really doing anything in yearbook, except sitting on the floor and decorating the signs for our booth in the harvest festival. so i was sitting on the ground after coloring a poster,but i had finished so i was kind of bored. i turned around to talk to rachel, then i see this writting under the desks, and i thought, i might as well read it as not.
this is what i read: "what yearbookers should do when they feel like they aren't working" and this person had listed all kinds of random things- but they are the same type of random things that bethany and i talk about! it was so weird. there were things written down like : "do you prefer shower or bath, do you sleep on your side, back, or stomach?" the bottom part of the writing was covered by a board, so i moved it, and what do i see?
the name mary, in my sisters handwriting, and the date -2001! the year she graduated. i just thought that that was kind of funny!

you missed out amy!

there is a girl who rides our bus, who is incredibly annoying. she is the loudest person you have EVER heard, i dint kniw hiw she has any friends! anyway, she was being really loud on the bus today- i mean unusually loud and talkative. half way through the ride, the girl starts yelling at US to be quiet! shes telling us that? anyway, the whole bus starts yelling and altogether screaming- just like she is whenever someone else is on the fun. anyway, the whole bus got their revenge on her, and it was hilarious. the bus driver actually stopped the bus. that was the best part of my day, pretty much

oh man!

i woke up this morning, and felt rotten! my throat was SO sore, and i had a temperature. i got up and started to get ready for school, but i felt awful. so my mom made me stay home today. i guess it was good to stay home, i dont want anyone else getting sick, but i HATE missing school! especially this year- i am going to be so behind. oh well, its mainly math and chemistry im worried about.
so that is why i wasnt at school today :D

funness

tonight was rather enjoyable, when i hadn't expected it to be! i babysat the fieldhouses. first-off, mr fieldhouse comes to pick me up, and i LOVE takling to him. he is one of the people that are really easy to talk to. so we just talked about general things. he asked me what was going on, and i told him about my sister being engaged. he told me how he and his wife met. he asked me why i wasnt going out ( a little awkward, but not too much). we got to his house, and i watched the kids. one of them didnt come out of the bedroom the whole time (except once when i tried to distract him, but he ended up crying even louder), the other little boy was tired and fell asleep at about 6:30. i was told not to let him go to sleep until 7, so i tried to wake him up, and i had to practically shake him! but then at 7 he didnt want to go to bed (figures). the girls watched some movie. teenage drama queen - i think. thats one thing. when i have kids, they arent going to watch movies like that.
kids in bed by 9, and then i got to read. then we drove home, and discussed how totally AWESOME 24 is. and i found something out- TONY DIDNT DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay! i didnt know that, but know im happy. and that was my night.



oh, and today some people gave me this awesome vintage side table. i LOVE it. it is SO awesome

unexpected

my mom and i went to buy my head today, and she is absolutely gorgeous. she is black- kind of looks like she might be Jamaican- she has short, almost a boys style hair cut, and a very cute face. if any of you have name suggestions, im taking them now. i dont want anything girly girl, she isnt that type. im thinking about nelly. i think that is a really fun name.
while at the store, my mom was looking at an old type of dishes that she likes. this huge motorcycle man walks up, the kind with piercings, black leather jacket, total macho man, and he starts talking to my mom about the dishes. it was so cute. here was this 6 foot something man, pointing out the differences between the newer and the older plates! he told us that he collects these dishes and has hundreds of them in his kitchen! he kept talking about how he collected certain colors :D then he told us about how every time he finds a new piece, he gets really happy. it was just really cute, and not something you expected to come from this type of man.

2nd half

the second half of today was awesome! it started on the bus. bethany and kt left their blankets on the bus, so amy and i used them so that we could sit backward in the seat without flashing anyone. so we were sitting there, and i started slipping down the seat. i catch myself though, and sit back straight. amy saw me, and thought hmm... that looks fun, so the next thing i know, amy is wedged into the seat with her rear, about 3 inches from the ground! it was HILARIOUS to watch her try all the different ways to get unstuck. so ya, we did that for a long time, and i discovered i can actually sit on the ground that way. then, we decided to go to subway. danielle was eating "subway" and it looked good, and made me want one. so kamille, amy, and i walked down there! yummm... i hadnt had subway in forever! and that was basically my day, except that i just finished watching ghost, it was good. it reminded me alot of 6th sense.

after school

so today i got to stay after school to take pictures of various sporting events :D the first one was tennis. that one was pretty cool, i almost got hit about 6 times(good thing you werent there, grace) but it was fun to be able to watch alot of the people i know playing. but i had to leave before the game was over, because i had to get my stuff out of the yearbook room, so the janitors could clean up. so then, rachel and i went over to the gym, to get pictures of voleyball. jv was still playing, so we took a couple of pictures of them, and figured out the best setting to use. so i used that setting for the rest of their game, no problem. then varsity starts, and i start taking pictures with the same setting. i go through a whole game. (if you dont know volleyball, they play best 3 out of 5 games) so valley had won the first "game" and i had taken probably 50 pictures. the second game is about to begin, and the server is just holding the ball, pretending to serve, but not really doing it. so i figure what the heck, the people looking in the yearbook wont know the diff. so i take the pic. im pretty dure the flash has been going off for a long time. i mean, im INSIDE a building, and even with the flash on, the pictures were pretty dark. anyway, i take the picture, and the ref finally notices, and asks rachel and i not to use the flash. we just said ok, but we were like, ok, weve only been here for the past 20,30 minutes! but it was all cool, bc the battery was dying, and my mom was in the parking lot, and i really didnt want to stay any longer. so we left, and had to take a detour bc buildings wer locked up- and then we drove home, and now im trying to study for history, but it isnt working too well, bc i am stressing over chem! yikes, what a week
