well, if anyone is looking for a good book, i just finished 3 WEEKS WITH MY BROTHER. and it was really good. its by nicholas sparks and his brother micah. he also wrote A WALK TO REMEMBER, and THE NOTEBOOK, and alot of other famous books. its about their boyhood and a trip around the world they are taking. its really good, and yet sad too.

so i went to my job today, and i have to say, it was pretty borring. for the first 2 hours, i sat and talked to the owner, but nobody came in. so, at about 1, she left to go to home depot, and left me there. well, about 5/6 groups of people came in, in a 3 hour period of time. so there wasnt much to do. i dusted the shop, and rearranged some of the merchandise, but after that there was nothing to do. so i read for awhile, but the last hour was so borring. and hot!!! she hadnt shown me where the ac was, so the store was very warm. luckily it was untollerable, bc i am going back next week.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

WOW, ALWAYS BEFORE, I JUST THOUGHT THAT THE 4TH WAS A DAY TO LIGHT FIREWORKS. NOW, WITH JOHN IN THE ARMY, IT MEANS A LOT MORE TO ME THAN THAT. I AM NOW TRULY THANKFUL FOR OUR INDEPENDENCE.

i get my car tomorrow!!! my dad told me tonight that he and my mom would pay for insurance until i get my license!!! yay.

oh, and tomorrow is my kittys birthday.

oh,oh, i need a name for my truck. shes a girl, so any suggestions? i dont want a girly girl name, something cute, but not girly like sophie... i was thinking about Willow. i love that name, but i dont know if id want to name a kid that, so....

my last sister is engaged!!!! and i absolutely love her engagement ring!!! it is the most gorgeous ring i have ever seen... i am very excited, because i love love love nathan kent. i dont know if i will be able to sleep tonight!!!

backyard

"olivia"

so we just bought an olive tree, and her name is olivia. go figure. anyway, she is really cute, and i have to say, olive trees are probably my favorite trees of all time. here are some pictures of my backyard, its about 10 times smaller than my old one, and im honestly not exaggerating, but i love what my mom has done with it.

abd this is our little 'patio', that is right infront of my bedroom.

the room that you can see in the background, belongs to my sister. it is attached to the garage, but it has a sink, a washing machine, and its generally just one big room. and, the most exciting part of all, to me, is that in probably 1 year, it will be mine. (isnt that exciting bethany? im only guessing of course though) so i like to gin and plan how im going to decorate it, but im really not sure, bc i honestly prefer rooms the size of mine is right now. for some reason, i dont really like big rooms/houses.

dinner

so tonight i went to dinner with heather, john, and louisa. we went to olive garden, but we had a 40 min wait. so we sat outside talking, and who comes out of the resteraunt? the dejongs! wow, it was a little awkward... it was blake and his mom, so she came over and said hi, and he kept walking and sat down a ways a way. well, finally they left, and a little while after, the rest of the dejong family walked past. so then we had dinner, and i ate so much food! breadsticks, and salad, and by the time the main entree came, i could barely eat it! it was good though. fetuccini alfredo. so on the way home, i saw the weirdest thing!!! there was a giant rooster in the back of a pickup! it was about 8-10 feet tall, and it was tied down with about a dozen ropes. it looked like a movie, like something out of godzilla. it was pretty hilarious!

PIRATES

well, i went to the long beach town center yesterday, and finally saw pirates 3. it was pretty good, but overall, i think i was a little disappointed as to how it was. i mean, it was really good, but i didn't enjoy it as much as number 1 and 2. i thought number one was the best, then two, and then three. the first one was more 'believable' despite the fact that they couldn't die. then, number 2 came with "squid face" and the ripped out heart, and it was ok, but i felt it was geared more toward a younger age group. finally three, and if i had of seen it by itself, it would have been excellent, but compared to the other 2 it didn't measure up to them. over all, i thought it was well done though, especially the special effects. i also had that song stuck in my head all day

catching up

so i havent posted in awhile, so im going to post about whats been happening for the past 2 weeks.

so my sister and brother came down. and thats been really fun, especially bc of my sister. shes the one ive always gotten along the best with. i dont know why, she 8 yrs older than i am, though bc were so far apart in age may be why i get along the best with her! we are nearly the same person though.... so that was fun

then, we went to my cousins house, and saw family we havent seen in yrs it seems like. family has to be my favorite thing in the world. i love hanging out with them.

so today, we got out of finals, and i am so excited!!! and my brother is graduating tonight!!! so im excited

and, i just finished HARRY POTTER 5 and 6. they were good! i felt like crying when Dumbledore died, though. i really did. i dont often feel that sad when i read books- the book i felt the worst while reading, though, was CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN. when the dad died i really really really wanted to cry!

anyway, have an awesome summer you guys, im so glad that we have blogs so we can all talk over the summer

so ya.. today i was walking to the 99 cent store with my mom, and there was a plank lying on the floor! i saw it a ways back, and i meant to step over it, but as i got closer, i forgot about it, and so i ended up stepping on it! not good. there were 3 or 4 rusty nails sticking out of it, and now i have 3 or 4 holes in my sandal! one of which is all the way through. im not sure if it broke my skin though. i mean, i can see where it poked me, but it doesnt hurt all that bad, and it never bled, so im hoping ill be ok. my family has never been big on medical care. we go to check ups once every 4 years maybe. so i didnt go get the teanus shot, even though i should have, and i am hoping and praying that i dont wake up with lockjaw! well, if im not at school tomorrow, youll know why :)

yipee!!!my brother is comming home today! like, in an hour and a half
