my mom bought me a season of the bob newhart show. it is cute, but im not sure i like it as much as the other shows...

i find out my sat test scores tom! yikes, this could change my whole life. not really, i just felt like dramatizing things. i am reading a book for school, br frank peretti, piercing the darness. it is pretty good, it represents angels and demons as being very real. it is kind of neat...

life

i've been off the blogs for a week, and i really feel like i've missed out on some of your guys's lives! these blogs let me read not only your guys thoughts about life, but allows me to post mine as well.
things to be happy for!
16 more days of school,
2.5 weeks until my sister's wedding,
john is coming for the wedding,
mary and ben are coming for the wedding,
i will be moving out to heathers room in 3? weeks,
i am going to new zealand in like 3 weeks,
i am back into reading mode,
i made ap english, but im not sure if i want to do it,
i get out of school early on wed. and thursday,
bethany went to apu to register,
chemistry is almost over,
i got a few things for NZ over the weekend,
my parents are going to be gone this weekend- party anyone? jk, do not come over, i am working this weekend which is another good thing, i am enjoying Bible class,
etc.

Mothers Day!

in honor of mothers day, we always have the grandparents over. the conversation was hilarious. first they talked about flies. our screen door has a hole, and theyve been coming in, and it drives my mom crazy. i was in a different room, so i didnt hear the beginning, but here is the rest of it. this is my grandma pollard- these flies are getting smarter! those are not the same flies we had when i was growing up. ???
we also had one of those "when i was young..." they were talking about how they didnt have any of these electronics, and how they played outside. they made a list of their favorite games: marbles, trading cards (like actual playing cards), jacks, and hopscotch. then my grandmother leans over to me and says- have you heard of hopscotch? i laughed and said yes. she said, well you never know, it was a long time ago! i may have more electronic things available to me today, but as a kid, i still spent a lot of time oustide with my siblings. the only real electronic system we had was nintendo 64, and i dont think mario cart had a corrupting influence on my innocent little life. :D

what a day!

i was able to get out of school early today! mrs auman was letting anyone with 7th period study hall and a note out. so i was out at 1:17. then danielle had to go to the rock gym, so i went with her. we stayed a total of fifteen minutes tops! she was supposed to stay three hours. my estimate is that we spent 5 minutes of it in the parking lot making fun of her terrible parking lot.
then we went to subway for an hour and a half? she could not get her order right. the lady asked her what kind of cheese she wanted. danielle replied, yes, cheese.??? ok... what KIND??? she also had trouble eating. food had a way of not only falling out, but also of flying out- in my direction. it was fun.

i flew through the quad, and skipped down the yellow brick road. all durring fourth period!

SAT

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! no not really. i actually feel pretty good about it. hopefully that means i did well. sometimes when i feel confident, it means i bombed it:D but i don't think i did.... and its nice to have it over with

special olympics

valley went to Fullerton to help out at the special Olympics, today. it was fun, but i wish we could have had more time. everyone who was driving had to be there at 8:15 at the latest, but bc i had to take Jim to school at 8:15 there was no way i could do that, so i and a group of friends took the bus. the bus didn't leave until 8:30ish- so we didn't arrive until about 9? then we waited in this gigantically long line to get our athlete. a quarter way through the line, a lady comes over and asks us to entertain three little boys in wheelchairs. we couldn't take them anywhere, and I'm not sure they could say much. one little boy could say hi. then we wandered around, but we really wanted a kid, so we got back in line (we kind of cut in line :C but we really wanted a kid, and we were leaving in an hour.) so we finally meet a boy named Jose, who was twelve years old. we went and played basketball, and baseball (his two favorite sports), but then we had to go to take the bus home! so all in all, we only spent about 45 minutes with him. but we stood in line and cheered as they walked past, and it was great to see their faces light up, with a huge smile.

jsb

so jsb was amazing! we started out just wanting to get together at Danielle's house to do each others hair and makeup, and then it expanded into Danielle's mom hiring someone to come do it for us. that was fun, id never had it done before. prom was at the omni hotel in downtown la. we stood around just talking to people, before we went into the main room. we had dinner which was yummy- chicken and rice and veggies. there was this tomato. a baby tomato that looked nice and red and fresh. i leaned over to Amy to ask how i should eat it without spraying juice everywhere, and she said to scoop it up. so we both scoop it up, and right as i put it in my mouth she makes a bad noise. i look over, and her face isn't looking very happy :O. she says"its cooked! i HATE cooked tomatoes, but what can i do? its already in my mouth. i bit down- and oh my goodness, that was the worst thing i have ever tasted! it was still warm and everything. i was gagging for about three minutes:P the dance was fun, but a little disappointing. generally everyone gets up to dance, but this year everyone got up to wander around the room. there were probably only about 60 people dancing. there was no sink hole in the middle. Mr bras started dancing, which was hilarious. so yes, it was very fun, and i liked it. the night ended with Gary driving us home, going no slower than 80 the whole way (jk, but he goes super fast). oh, and some people were asking how to get to the same freeway we were going to, so Gary says follow us! well when he goes 50, and is dodging around moving cars, screeching around corners- i just wondered what the other people were thinking!

friday was danielles b-day, so amy and i decorated her car with bows while grace distracted her.
we had a half day for jsb, so we went over to danielle's where we had hair and makeup done. then we went to the dance, which was awesome at the omni hotel in downtown la.

we were taking pics out front, and danielle "accidentally" hit amy in the face. so amy looks pained, and the rest of us are laughing- poor amy!

after we got home from jsb, i went straight to the bed. after amy pulled 59 pins out of my head (it hurt so much- not the taking them out, the them being in). so i went to bed in a different room bc i had to wake up so i could work at julies the next day. i woke up at 7, drove home, took a shower, and then went to work. i was there from 10-6. then i rushed home, changed, and went to heathers bridal shower. i was about 30 minutes late, and by the time i finally got there, everyone was eating and i walked in when Sammy Brandon was reading a "devotion," i had to walk to the very front of the room too, bc I'm a bridesmaid. then we went to a taco stand bc i was starving!

we went home, i crawled into bed, got up to go to church. crawled back in bed after church. woke up and left for my grandpa's bday party, left to go bbsit, and now i am home. i have had a busy weekend, but it was fun.
