last day of high school. sadness- kind of. We were sitting in the back of Bible class and I was like wow- last 15 minutes...last 10..... over!!!! and then hannah kim ran up and gave me a huge hug. she and lindsey were getting so emotional over it being my last period- so funny. and cassie almost started to cry. i was just trying not to laugh. not that i'm not sad- i am- but i just couldnt cry at school.

Last of everything

last chapel...
last Thursday...
last day of high school tomorrow...
last homework assignment (English of course)...
last day of seeing friends I've gone to school with for the past six years!

I'm excited, happy, sad... and a little bit apprehensive. But mostly happy and sad- :) (there's an oxymoron for you Mrs. Terhorst!)

Catalina and more!

Seniors made the long treacherous journey to Catalina on Monday. And after walking up hill both ways, through the rain and through the sleet, we finally made it. No, but it was fun, although it was a rather chilly day. We met up at school at 6:45 to be inspected by the drug dog, left on buses, and took the boat over. Everyone broke up pretty fast, and after getting beaten by the teachers, we decided NOT to go into the waffle house, but wound up stopping at a bakery for - what else? baked goods- and coffee. We wandered for a while, but ultimately wound up renting bicycles. We split up into several groups and went our own ways, but after maybe an hour to an hour and a half, half of us returned our bikes and went to lunch. The 'others' joined us shortly after. The afternoon was basically spent wandering around. And eating, of course. Mostly, we sat on the beach, which was fun. I have to say, though. They had these ginormous caramel apples which were so yummy. After sampling Danielle and Allison's, Amy and I split one- along with several other people.
Today, was not so much fun. I started out by sleeping in- which was a positive. I awoke to having to take my car to get a car smog. She squeaked by. Hopefully she will only have to take one more, and in three years she'll be 25 and no longer need this exam. I then came home for a short while, before going to the doc's (which I hadn't been to in 4 years) and having a chicken pox and tetanus shot administered to what is now a semi sore arm. After that, I went on a random shopping outing with my mom, however, and bought several new items- including several things I wouldn't have previously worn, but since I will be able to change my identity, I figured why not?! That pretty much wound up my day except for the fact that I did work on my English project -if only a little bit- and am very proud of myself for doing so.

Everything and nothing

not too much happening.

this past week was fairly stressful~ mostly because of English. I was thinking about school tonight. I realized we only have 14 days left. Plus, this week is our last full week, and our last monday, I think. Yikes, it has all flown by so fast!

Other than school, I worked this weekend, and bbsat the Fieldhouse kids twice. I love them- so much fun to watch.

Bethany's birthday was on Friday. So I went over today, and gave her her gift. And she is giving me this amazing picture she took. I love it. I also got a glimpse of the rest of the O'Hoyt family. I feel like I haven't seen them in forever:)

Oh! And a friend had her triplets! She posted pictures, and they are all so precious. 2 girls and 1 boy. All very small, though, so pray that they will grow big and be able to go home soon, please!

It Happens Evvery Summer...

Senior play was great! The play was funny, and all the people did a really good job. I must say, though. Heather Coates was definitely the best. She was the perfect Brooklyn receptionist. I went with Amy and Danielle- we thought we'd go to Olive Garden for dinner, but the line was out the door and around the corner. So then we went to cpk, but there was absolutely no parking. Soooo we wound up at the food court. Afterwards, we were going to go to Yogurtland, but the line was again ridiculously long. So we went next door to It's a Grind:D

Special Olympics

had the opportunity to go to special olympics at fullerton on friday- so much fun. i love seeing the kids' faces light up when they walk down the path with everyone cheering for them. my kid was paul~ about thirteen, I would guess. he liked to go around trying to pop all the other kids' balloons, so i always had to be on the lookout, but he was so sorry after he had done it:) we had a lot of fun.

JSB and Danielle

Friday was JSB. We had a half day, which was great.
heres the outline:
drove Joseph home,
went To TJs and the party store where I ordered two dozen balloons for Danielle's bday,
played phone tag with Bethany,
took a shower,
hair in curlers,
Beth came over in the middle of this.
Then we had several hours to talk, which was great.
Then, we took curlers out, and did my hair,
she did my makeup,
she had to leave,
Grace came,
Danielle came,
we all left to go to Chantal's, where a limo drove us to the Hilton in Irvine- after we took plenty of photos:)
JSB was pretty fun, in a different way. I definitely think I had more fun Junior year, though. But it was still cool.

After that, we all piled back into the limo to my house, where Danielle, Amy, Kamille, Grace, and I were sleeping. The room was full of balloons, and we talked until about 2? Then someone wanted to watch a movie, but I fell asleep in the first 5 mins then woke up at 3:30 to turn it off. Then I slept on the air mattress, and forced Grace off apparently, bc Daniell e was hogging the bed. Danielle had to leave early, but the rest of us had breakfast of pancakes and strawberries at about 9. Everyone except Grace left at 10. Grace took a shower, I took a shower. We watched the movie from the previous night (slumdog) and then went to Georges Greek food (or something like that) on 2nd street- where I almost had to teach Grace how to // park. Then I went home and slept from 4-7, and drew a picture from 7-12. And that was basically my weekend. tah-dah!

DC

Because I haven't updated in awhile, and I just came back from a trip to DC/Virginia, I'm going to post, but I'll try to keep it semi brief. We left on Easter, and arrived at about 8. I may get the days mixed up, but heres what we did, to the best of my remembrence. Actually, I have no idea what we did on what day, so forget that! We went to Arlington national cemetary, the capitol, smithsonian history museum, an art museum, and lots of different monuments. One of the coolest parts was definitely seeing the declaration and constitution! On wednesday, we drove down to virginia, where we wandered around colonial williamsburg thursday. friday we drove back to the airport, and arrived home around 8. I must say, everything was fun, and went well. I only wish danielle could have resisted punching me in the eye:)

Updated Life

This week has been intensely stressful! Beginning of the week wasn't too bad, I was trying to get ahead on some studying so I wouldn't be swamped Wed/Thurs night, but ofcourse I still was. I had an English test over 26 poems. yech! Part two is on Monday. To make it all worse, though, my computer finally gave up! The hard-drive crashed... poor baby. So last night my dad and I went out to find a new one, bought one, and brought it home. Unfortunately the person who set up the wireless internet account the first time forgot all the info or something. So now I'm at work on the internet because I can't get on at home:)

Fun stuff...

this whole week i have had a very minimal amount of homework due to broadway showcase which is amazing. yesterday was fun- long. i went to south coast with danielle, her mom, amy, and her mom- looking for jsb dresses. they were only able to stay until about 4:30ish, so my mom came over from school after that, and she and i went around looking. my feet felt like we covered every inch of the mall! so did my moms. she ended up taking her shoes off and walking barefoot. dont often see that at south coast. it made me happy. had dinner at the nordstroms restaurant- very yummy pizza. i did finally find a dress, and i love it.
today, i am at work. i have one more paragraph to write for an essay, and a simple Bible worksheet. overall, a good weekend so far.

one complaint- the sun has disappeared:(

And then we have tomorrow off:) Hopefully just a relaxing day, and then in the afternoon looking for a dress with amy and danielle. Lets see what happens!

Think About Summer

I love this picture. I get an email every day from a website of maybe 40 artists who paint a picture a day (or are supposed to), and this was one of the pictures for today. I love it!! It makes me want summer even more. To drink Jamba Juice, and go summer clothes shopping, and just sit int the sun:) Which I got to do for awhile today.
