Hippopota-picnic!

We went to El Dorado Park for a picnic! And ended up taking an endless amount of pictures:) Twas quite a fun day, I had missed Amy's hippos :P

MARY HAD HER BABY!!!

A WHOLE MONTH EARLY! A little boy, everything seems fine (for both) at the moment. He has to wait 48hrs before they can bring him home, but man! They are in the process of a move, so they haven't finished unpacking and probably don't have everything organized yet. I am so excited:D It was weird though. Sometime this past week, I had the thought, what if she just gave birth to it now, and didn't have to wait a whole nother month!! How crazy is that?! Anyways, CONGRATS TO MARY & BEN! His name is Luke :)

2nd job

I started bbsitting a little boy today. I love it. The parents are so sweet, and the one child is really fun as well! They are close to a park, a little bit of water, and we can take a short drive to 2nd street or the beach. Today we walked down to the water to look at the fish and birds, but mainly stayed around the house playing games, reading, and coloring:) fun stuff.

First few days of summer

The first few days of summer have been great! Over the weekend, I worked at Julie's, was able to visit with Bethany, and dog sat Margot. Yesterday, I woke up and headed off to school. Pretty amusing- my first day off, and back I go. But I will NOT be one of those people who can't get over high school =] I went in to work on the yearbook with Allison, Amy, and Danielle. Afterwards we went to the Cerritos TC for lunch, and saw UP! Very cute movie. The dogs completely made it. And for the rest of the day I was subjected to hearing the phrase "I live under your porch, and I LOVE you" or something like that~ I try to forget these things. Grace (who met us at lunch) and Danielle and I went back to Danielle's house- making a pit stop at Lows where we picked up some lumber- and spent all night painting on our wood. Grace didn't paint- she just watched, but she will paint something- we saved a tree for her. I went back again this morning, and all we have left are trees and two houses, I think! Fun stuff- I love having a project. It makes it kind of hard having it somewhere else, but it is my first 'two-people-project' and I love it:) I'll see if I can post a picture sometime

last day of high school. sadness- kind of. We were sitting in the back of Bible class and I was like wow- last 15 minutes...last 10..... over!!!! and then hannah kim ran up and gave me a huge hug. she and lindsey were getting so emotional over it being my last period- so funny. and cassie almost started to cry. i was just trying not to laugh. not that i'm not sad- i am- but i just couldnt cry at school.

I'm excited, happy, sad... and a little bit apprehensive. But mostly happy and sad- :) (there's an oxymoron for you Mrs. Terhorst!)

Catalina and more!

Seniors made the long treacherous journey to Catalina on Monday. And after walking up hill both ways, through the rain and through the sleet, we finally made it. No, but it was fun, although it was a rather chilly day. We met up at school at 6:45 to be inspected by the drug dog, left on buses, and took the boat over. Everyone broke up pretty fast, and after getting beaten by the teachers, we decided NOT to go into the waffle house, but wound up stopping at a bakery for - what else? baked goods- and coffee. We wandered for a while, but ultimately wound up renting bicycles. We split up into several groups and went our own ways, but after maybe an hour to an hour and a half, half of us returned our bikes and went to lunch. The 'others' joined us shortly after. The afternoon was basically spent wandering around. And eating, of course. Mostly, we sat on the beach, which was fun. I have to say, though. They had these ginormous caramel apples which were so yummy. After sampling Danielle and Allison's, Amy and I split one- along with several other people.
Today, was not so much fun. I started out by sleeping in- which was a positive. I awoke to having to take my car to get a car smog. She squeaked by. Hopefully she will only have to take one more, and in three years she'll be 25 and no longer need this exam. I then came home for a short while, before going to the doc's (which I hadn't been to in 4 years) and having a chicken pox and tetanus shot administered to what is now a semi sore arm. After that, I went on a random shopping outing with my mom, however, and bought several new items- including several things I wouldn't have previously worn, but since I will be able to change my identity, I figured why not?! That pretty much wound up my day except for the fact that I did work on my English project -if only a little bit- and am very proud of myself for doing so.

Everything and nothing

not too much happening.

this past week was fairly stressful~ mostly because of English. I was thinking about school tonight. I realized we only have 14 days left. Plus, this week is our last full week, and our last monday, I think. Yikes, it has all flown by so fast!

Other than school, I worked this weekend, and bbsat the Fieldhouse kids twice. I love them- so much fun to watch.

Bethany's birthday was on Friday. So I went over today, and gave her her gift. And she is giving me this amazing picture she took. I love it. I also got a glimpse of the rest of the O'Hoyt family. I feel like I haven't seen them in forever:)

Oh! And a friend had her triplets! She posted pictures, and they are all so precious. 2 girls and 1 boy. All very small, though, so pray that they will grow big and be able to go home soon, please!
